Company Brain
BTS’s flagship product, currently an MVP. A shared organizational context layer for people and AI agents, developed first for BTS’s own work.

The organizational problem
Documents, conversations and task tools each hold part of a company’s story. People and agents repeatedly have to reconstruct what is current, what was decided, why it was decided and who is responsible.
Company Brain addresses that context gap. It organizes goals, people, products, decisions and relationships alongside the evidence behind them. The aim is to make organizational understanding usable across different agents and tools.
My contribution
I lead the internal Company Brain initiative at BTS: structuring company knowledge, connecting information across the organization and testing it in our own work before extending it to other organizations. I introduced Company Brain publicly at K-Days.
Maintaining and clarifying the MVP’s current organizational context is a shared responsibility between me and Shradha Maira. The product reflects shared company knowledge and review.
Approach and trade-offs
The current implementation is a Google Drive-backed collection of linked Markdown records, readable through Obsidian as well as by agents. Stable identities and schemas keep the meaning of records consistent; source references, decisions and dated migrations preserve evidence and change history.
Retrieval starts with the relevant type of record and its canonical identity, then follows related records. Operational tools remain authoritative for their own data. This favors traceability and explicit maintenance over treating every ingested document as trusted company knowledge.
Safeguards and open questions
Human review separates proposed changes from accepted context. Missing information remains unknown, and disagreement needs human clarification. These controls make reasoning inspectable; they do not guarantee a correct recommendation.
Retrieval sufficiency remains an open product question: how does an agent know it has found enough current, authoritative context for a particular task? Freshness still depends on founder maintenance; there is no automatic freshness guarantee.
What the MVP can show today
At BTS, we use structured records, linked evidence, decisions and migration history to maintain organizational context for people and agents.
Company Brain remains an evolving MVP. Measured revenue impact and other business results have not been established for this MVP. Agent independence is a design direction, not a claim of compatibility with every agent. Tailored implementations are the commercial direction; this is not a finished self-service platform.
