Practical AI. Dependable systems.

At A Parent Media Co., I worked on backend and cloud systems across Kidoodle.TV and streaming platforms including VICTORY+. My responsibilities included Python APIs and microservices, AWS infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation, and CDN, load-balancing and video-delivery work.

I worked on production monitoring with CloudWatch and DataDog, capacity planning and autoscaling, and supported engineers through mentorship and code review. These streaming platforms were delivered by teams; my contribution was backend and cloud engineering within that wider delivery effort.

Start with the workflow and the people responsible for it. Identify the information a system can use, the boundaries it must respect and the evidence needed to judge an answer. Then make the architecture, operating responsibilities and trade-offs understandable.

For AI systems, a compelling demonstration is a starting point. Reliable operation also needs verification, human review, feedback and a clear owner.

I care about AI literacy and helping young people prepare for the world. My work with Kidoodle.TV also informs my commitment to children’s online safety and my motivation for pursuing Govora.

At YACO, I volunteer technical expertise, help adopt AI in processes and improve the website, mentor youth, and contribute to nonprofit governance and organizational direction.

At AIFY, I mentor and work on modernizing its application and workflows. My past mentorship also includes Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada.
